How do I get a stray, starving cat to eat on his own?

He may have been starved for so long that he just sort of forgot how to eat,or he may have a sore throat.Offer him meat baby food, slightly warmed, and fresh chicken thighs, boiled or baked. sardines in water may also be tempting to him. Also, many cats love goat's milk and it is good for them. But just keep up the syringe feeding and keep offering him different food.Keep a bowl of dry cay food down for him.It is weird, but sometimes cats crave dry food. I had a sick cat once ( pneumonia) and I had to syringe feed her baby food, chicken broth and Nutri-Cal for 2 weeks before she would eat on her own again.
