I dont know what to do about my period! plz help!?

so i just started my period last thursday/friday. today i had off from softball but tommarow i have a tournament in napa. which is 2 games. one at 9 30 and the other at 11 i think so ill be done by 1. i wear softball pants and one pair is white and one is navy. im praying that theyll choose navy pants to wear! i also wear sliders so if theres an bleeding mishap hopefully my sliders will stop it. this is only my real 2nd period ever and idk what to do. i wear regular pads but they stick out and are like diapers and suuuuck. my mom today just bought me tampons (slim tampex pearls) and i dont think ill have a problem with those. i have a pretty light period. but its enough. should i try tampons tonight and then if nothing goes wrong wear them tommarow? or should i wait and still use pads? i know they have a restroom at this tournament. but if i have a tampon in i shouldnt have to change it right? if i dont bleed alot. from 7 30 to 2 15 is about 6 hours. should i have to change it? it would be sooooo much easier if i didnt have too. i dont bleed alot. like i used a pantyliner and i bleed and it didnt even soak to my panties. what should i do?
